STUDY TOUR PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Welcome
The Preston University, Islamabad is proud to present a ten-day study tour because we firmly believe what program members will learn has the power to change the South Asia region.
The objective of this new program is to help participants better understand the country and the region so that they are able to better understand the regional issues of peace and security.
Through discussions, the participants shall be encouraged to analyze, and draw conclusions about the developments in the country and the South Asia region findings and embark upon a journey down a path of discovery about the people and government of Pakistan which is expected to continue beyond the tour study itself.
The study tour shall provide the cultural and historical context to the current thoughts and opinions of the Pakistanis. The active-learning program shall enable participants to gain insights and understanding of regional affairs both political and cultural.
Expected Outcomes
At the completion of this study tour, participants will be able to:
critique, with new insights, assumptions about the country and South Asia region
discuss issues with ease with other professionals
network to solve problems of peace and insecurity in the region

Visit to Taxila museum
Day 3: Modern History of Pakistan
Intro to Politics and Government of Pakistan
Day 4: Issues of Democracy and Military Rule in Pakistan
Day 5: Extremism, the Issue of Islam and Politics
Day 6:
The Global War on Terror and the Role of Pakistan
Day 7: The Islamic Radical Phenomenon Revisited
Day 8: The Prospects for Peace in South Asia
Day 9: The Issues of India-Pakistan Peace Process
Day 10: Networking for Regional Peace: The Way Forward for Pakistan and the Region
